Every dollar raised will help the Michigan Humane
Society care for tens of thousands of animals each year through its
lifesaving programs, including: adoption, cruelty investigation,
emergency rescue and reuniting lost animals with their families.
The Mutt March tradition began in 1989 in memory of a well-respected volunteer and board member, Laura Lee Greer, and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the Michigan Humane Society’s many lifesaving programs and services.
The event starts at 8:00, but walkers can start the course any time before noon. A variety of course lengths of up to 2.5 miles are available. Water will be provided for both humans and animals. The annual springtime event offers a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere and a scenic stroll through the beautiful grounds of the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores.
