Newport Beach is in southern California on the beach - a gorgeous place to go and have some fun. Do check out my write up on the little-known "Wedge". The Wedge is on the beach, where the waves come in diagonally to the jetty and leap up, then crash. Crazy board and body surfers try to catch these waves, fly up,... then duck out of the wave before they are splatted. Sometimes, they even succeed. Great fun for spectators!
