Having Fun for Yourself in Orlando!

Pet Friendly Orlando!having fun in orlando florida
orlando fun at disney and epcotGetting Out There and into it in Orlando!

1-Disney and Epcot! With Parks such as Magic Kingdom for the family, Epcot for the adults, Animal Kingdom for the animal lovers and Disney's Hollywood Studio for the movie freaks there is really no comparison. Relive the magic of your childhood or introduce the magic to others... any way you look at it you can't lose. Don't miss Alien Encounter please!

2. Kennedy Space Center

orlando fun at the kennedy space centerA stay in Florida isn’t complete without a trip to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Just east of many popular Orlando, Florida vacation destinations and theme parks, NASA's launch headquarters is the only place on Earth where you can tour launch areas, meet a veteran astronaut, see giant rockets, train in spaceflight simulators, and even view a launch.

orlando - universal parks3. Universal Parks
Universal has two parks. Universal Island of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida. Island of Adventure is more of a thrill ride park. Their Marvel and Harry Potter areas are amazing, and a must for anyone who goes there. Okay, my personal fear meter goes to the elevator ride... not sure I could still do it. And.. here are 2 more:

orlando fun at aquatica

4. Aquatica - Always nice to have one day where you know you won't be hot. There are huge and scary rides, and then there are the lovely rivers where you just float on a tube in a big wide circle. My personal favorite.

busch gardens in tampa
5. Busch Gardens - Another place that is not in Orlando but worth taking the trip to Tampa to visit. Rides, animals, Busch Gardens is a fun and thrilling place that is the ultimate family place to visit. It is a drive of one hour and 20 minutes from Orlando to get to Tampa.

orlando leu gardens6. Leu Gardens- Another place to escape the heat, the crowds, and just relax. Gorgeous flower beds, huge gardens, nature trails. I think it would be a great stop on any trip to Orlando to remind yourself that this is really a vacation, not a mind-blowing pageant of activity.

orlando dinosaur world
7. Dinosaur World!
The coolest place for young children with a fascination with dinosaurs.  The park has a fossil dig, caves, skeleton garden, bone yard and museum.  There is over 150 life size dinosaurs and it’s also educational.  It is 40 minutes from Orlando but will still probably be the favorite trip for one of your group!

8. Sea World – It is truly amazing what these animals are able to do. And how important is it to teach the next generation the importance of the oceans? Sea World is strong due to it's shows. Each one has great entertainment value. Another place to escape the heat if not the crowds, and enjoy the beauty of the oceans. Case in point: Empire of the Penguins, just opening! :
orlando sea worldCome explore the biggest and most expansive attraction in SeaWorld Orlando's history, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin™. This epic exploration of a mysterious world blends animal encounters with an exhilarating family ride for a one-of-a-kind experience the whole family will enjoy. Be transported to an icy world like you've never seen before. Experience the majestic grandeur of the South Pole and see it through the penguins’ eyes on an exhilarating, first-of-its-kind family ride. Then, step out and explore their colony in an expanse that envelops you in cool extremes: bringing you above and below their icy world. Are you ready?

orlando gatorland rookie wrestling
9. Gatorland-
Holy cow! Rookie Wrestling! (with alligators... for $10!) If you’re not a native to Florida and you want to see some serious gator action this is the place visit. The park was recently renovated and has a pretty sweet splash park for the kids, live gator shows, a train tour of the facility, an aviary an much more.  It’s a lot of fun and you can probably see the whole park in less than 6 hours but if you wanted to could spend the whole day without getting bored.  It’s cheaper than a theme park but offers the same kind of fun minus the cool rides.
