Bark in the Park- February 9, 2013 11a-3p

The 3rd annual Bark in Riverside Park will be held in Riverside Park in Downtown Bonita Springs on February 9th from 11am-3pm. This event is free! Special events include Police dog demonstration at 11:45am, Pet costume contest at 12:30pm, Pet CPR demonstration at 1pm, Pet owner look-a-like and pet tricks contest at 1:30pm at 2pm. Huge silent auction with over 20 incredible packages for bidding at 2:30pm. Bring a pet food donation to receive a complimentary heart screening performed by a Veterinary Cardiologist or other pet services provided by vendors.

          There will be reduced cost micro-chipping available. Fred’s Diner will be onsite to provide delicious refreshments! Leashed, friendly pets are welcome. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Gulf Coast Humane Society. This event is hosted by Southwest Florida Veterinary Specialists and will be attended by other local businesses including Pet Supermarket, Frognose Photography, Bonita Boarding Kennel, Animal Wellness Center of Bonita, Canine Command, Pets at Peace, Invisible Fence, and many more. Woofstock in Sunrise, FL - February 2 from 10a-4p

It's a day of outdoor fun for dogs and dog lovers!  The City's third annual Woofstock event will take place on Saturday, February 2, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sawgrass Sanctuary Park (237 North New River Circle, Sunrise 33326).

Admission is FREE, and the first 500 canines through the gates will receive a “Doggie Bag” of treats. Bring your furry BFF or adopt one on site!
Woofstock will feature live entertainment, demonstrations, a lure course and race track, rescue groups, and food and retail vendors. Don't miss our Canine Contests:

11:30 a.m.		Grooviest Threads (Best Dressed)
12:30 p.m.		Gnarliest Trick
1:30 p.m.		Most Righteous Kisser

Please note that all dogs must have a current rabies tag for admittance, and retractable leashes are not permitted.
