Mutt March 2015 Grosse Pointe Shores, MI

2014 Mutt March! in Grosse Pointe Shores, MI
June 1, 2014
8:00 am to 12:00 pm
Benefiting: Michigan Humane Society
All walkers who turn in donations of $200 or more at the event will receive an official Mutt March T-shirt. The first 800 four-legged walkers will receive a Mutt March bandana. If your dog will be walking with you, be sure to bring current vaccination records.

Every dollar raised will help the Michigan Humane Society care for tens of thousands of animals each year through its lifesaving programs, including: adoption, cruelty investigation, emergency rescue and reuniting lost animals with their families.

The Mutt March tradition began in 1989 in memory of a well-respected volunteer and board member, Laura Lee Greer, and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the Michigan Humane Society’s many lifesaving programs and services.

The event starts at 8:00, but walkers can start the course any time before noon.  A variety of course lengths of up to 2.5 miles are available. Water will be provided for both humans and animals. The annual springtime event offers a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere and a scenic stroll through the beautiful grounds of the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores.
